A multiscale classification of the urban morphology

The urban morphology forms the backbone of our settlements. Its quantitative description allows to compare urban layouts and to uncover their potentials and limitations. In this paper we propose a set of spatial variables that can be used to do so and show how these are used to define urban typologies in multiple scales.
