EU grants two research projects with participation of the Institute for Transport Planning and Systems (IVT)

In a first project, a tool shall be developed for decision support in respect of necessary adoptions of regional economies due to climate change. IVT contributes by applying the multi-agent transport simulation MATSim to assess the impacts of natural hazards.

A second project deals with joint decision making and how we share resources. Such questions also arise in the transport sector, for instance when we investigate car sharing or car pooling. Would you be willing to share your car for the sake of lower energy consumption? How do you come to your decision?
