To celebrate the publication of Acculturating the Shopping Centre and the softcover edition of Shopping Towns Europe, Prof. Margaret Crawford (UC Berkeley), Paul Robbrecht (Robbrecht en Daem architecten) and Thomas Volstorf (Riken Yamamoto; Field Shop) will give brief presentations on shopping centre design, and subsequently join Prof. Tom Avermaete and Dr. Janina Gosseye in a panel discussion focussed on the shopping centre’s place specificity, and its role in creating urban collectivity.
