Joint Effort to Mitigate Urban Heat Island Effect

The Singapore-ETH Centre leads a multidisciplinary project Cooling Singapore with researchers from MIT, TUM and NUS to mitigate urban heat island (UHI) effect in Singapore and to improve outdoor thermal comfort. The team has established a multi-agency task force and will develop a UHI mitigation roadmap to ensure sustained efforts across agencies. Dr. Heiko Aydt
